Nursing Home Manager, Newcastle Under Lyme, Staffordshire

Salary - to c £70k per annum (+ bonus scheme)

Experts2care are exclusively handling a fantastic opportunity for an exceptional Nursing Home Manager in a good rated, award winning specialist elderly care facility in the Newcastle Under Lyme region. This home is a leading provider of nursing care for those with complex needs and dementia. The Nursing Home Manager will be responsible for ensuring a high standard of clinical care and governance for the residents. They will lead the clinical team, bringing strong clinical knowledge, leadership, and management skills to the role.


This opportunity would make the ideal next step for an experienced Nursing Home Manager with a strong track record of managing good homes. This role benefits from a robust management structure both within the home and also through the support of group functions in the areas of HR, Compliance and Facilities, as well as the support of Senior Management team on site.

What you'll do:


You will be responsible for all aspects of running the home and provide an innovative, active, and progressive care service, utilising best practice guidelines, while ensuring residents safety and welfare is of paramount importance at all times.

You will manage the Home in accordance with policies and legislative requirements to agreed budgets and provide a caring environment that meets the individual needs of residents.

You will head up a large team of staff and take responsibility for the wellbeing of all residents, the quality of the service and financial performance of the home.

You will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure the home remains fully compliant and provides the best quality care.


What you'll bring:


Strong, supportive and clear leadership skills, team working skills and staff management experience.

You will be a current manager and will have current or recent experience of being a Registered Manager in the elderly care sector. You will have good, proven networking and interpersonal skills.

A good understanding and experience of CQC and CHC standards is required.

An assertive, energetic, motivated and positive approach along with exceptional organisation skills are key.

You need to have a good knowledge and experience of elderly nursing care including dementia, challenging behaviour and specialist services.

You will be knowledgeable and will have demonstrable experience in working with HR and Training disciplines to lead a successful Recruitment, Retention and Training strategy.

A Nursing qualification and current PIN is preferred BUT NOT ESSENTIAL.
